Are you living your truth; being authentic?

I’m about to get really deep here, so buckle up and get ready!!
Truth. It’s a big word. It’s a word that’s been in the back of my mind since I was a kid.
I’ve always been driven by a quest for knowledge and deeper understanding of the mysteries of life. Why are we on this planet? What impact or legacy will I leave behind? What’s the point of all this?
I spent most of my life looking to others for examples of how I should live my life. I read books, studied with some great teachers, and obsessed over movies and art that fed my desire to learn more about this whole “being a human” thing.

Somewhere along the way, I forgot to look inside for the answers.
It wasn’t until I started teaching yoga that I realized how many of us struggle with figuring out who we are. I mean, when we peel away the layers and labels, who are we really?
We’re more than our jobs, our relationships, our race, or even our bodies. At our deepest core, we can all tap into a source of creative energy that can fuel our self-discovery.
So what does this mean for us? It means that we are all here to live out our full potential—in other words, to live our truth.
And there are so many different ways to get there.
Remember, you were born into this world for a reason. It may not quite make sense just yet, but the universe conspired to rearrange a portion of itself into your beautiful shape.
So what if instead of constantly trying to dim that part of yourself that’s been crying out to be expressed, you actually let it show?
Rather than thinking of yourself as separate, why not think of yourself as an extension of everything around you?

Living your truth is how strong communities are built.
Like the way individual water droplets form an ocean, reflecting the sky back up at itself… you are a small piece of something bigger, reflecting itself back.
You matter.
Your voice matters.
And your fullest expression of that inner world is what we’re all here to witness.
It doesn’t have to happen quickly or on anyone else’s watch, but it’s the inevitable outcome of staying aware of the bigger picture while recognizing your individual impact.
So go out and paint the sky,
Sing to your heart’s content as you stroll past a sunset,
And breathe in the beauty that is this complex wonder we call life.
I’m here to support you on your journey inward, so you can learn to listen to that little voice that’s been trying to express itself and begin creating the life you truly want.
I can’t wait to see where your truth takes you.
